Off-site Engagement & Event Rates
To ensure transparency and facilitate project planning, the following rate structure applies to all off-site engagements, trade shows and events requiring travel.
1. Professional Fees: I utilise a day-rate model for all off-site work to account for travel time, full-day availability and out-of-office requirements.
Full Day Rate: £550 Applicable for full-day event attendance (up to 8 hours) or days combining on-site work with significant travel.
Half Day Rate: £300 Applicable for stand set-up/breakdown (under 4 hours), travel-only days, or local site visits.
Overtime & Evening Attendance: Hours requested beyond the standard 8-hour window (e.g. evening networking sessions or awards dinners) are billed at the standard hourly rate of £60 per hour.
2. Travel & Logistics: For all engagements outside of Southampton, the following expenses are to be reimbursed at cost or provided directly by the client:
Transport: Standard Class rail travel or mileage charged at 45p per mile.
Accommodation: For multi-day events overnight accommodation at a suitable hotel is required.
Subsistence: Reimbursement of meals and incidental expenses incurred for the duration of the engagement.
3. Booking & Administration
Confirmation: Dates are considered secured upon receipt of an email confirmation.
Invoicing: Professional fees and expenses will be invoiced upon completion of the event, with all relevant receipts provided.
Cancellations: Engagements cancelled within 7 days of the event may be subject to a partial fee to cover lost availability.
